Hi everyone, as promised I will give you a status update on KnoxFS. As you have noticed the past couple of months have been slow.
We did not make any progress unfortunately. The main reason, perhaps even the only reason, is that we currently do not have anyone in the team with the development skills that we need.
In the past Harris has helped us with creating the smartcontracts for wKFX and developing the KFX website. We also starting on Filestreams, but since the first week of May I have not heared from him anymore. I don't know what happened, perhaps something in his private situation, but he has not given any reply since four months. I was really hoping the past months that he would return to the project, because he was about to launch the wKFX/KFX swap+staking feature (the app was ready on testnet) and solve some issues regarding wKFX payments on Filestream.
If we do not hear from him again, we need to find others with development skils who are willing to contribute to the project on a voluntary base. Our usecase, products and potential remain the same, but require technical work to be able to move forward.
Hiring professional developers is not an option at this moment, because we do not have a budget and we have not been able to raise sufficient funding in the past.
For marketing it's a similar story. We don't have experienced marketeers in our team, nor do we have the budget to hire a professional agency. And you can wonder if we should start any promotion now, or prioritize productdevelopment. In my opinion the product should always come first, otherwise there is little to market.
So it seems that we are in a sort of deadlock situation right now. Without developers and/or funding we can't move forward. Some of you have offered help, which is greatly appreciated. But in case you are not a developer, or do not intend to offer funding, then the only way you can help is by finding developers and investors that see the potential of KnoxFS.
Any ideas or suggestions are welcome, please let us know. Afterall, KnoxFS is a community project and I can't do it by myself. Thanks.
